Lord Dattatreya

H.H. Ranga Avadhoot (Paduranga Vitthal Valame) or well known as Pujya Bapji – descent on 21-11-1898, Kartik Sukla 9- Birthplace, Godhra (Gujarat), India, with bright school and college career joined independence movement. He worked some time as a teacher and took an active part in social and political activities. He left all these and came to Nareshvar in 1923.

Shri Dattatreya incarnation.
Narasimhawadi is famous for the Hindu temple of Shri Narasimha Saraswati (Marathi: नरसिहसरस्वती) (1378–1458) located on the banks of the river Krishna. Shri Dattatreya in his 3rd incarnation as Narasimha Saraswati is believed to have lived here for as long as 12 years. (Ref. Shri Gurucharitra). The life story of Shri Narasimha Saraswati, his philosophy and related stories are described in Shri Guru Charitra. There are no images or idols here which show his presence. But there are two padukas or slippers which immortalize his great avatar. Narasimhawadi is 50 Kilometres from the city of Kholapur.
