Amba Mata Mandir<\/div>\n

This Amba Mata Mandir is located at Gamdevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400007, India.
\nAmba Devi (Goddess of Shakti).<\/p>\n

Goddess Ambika is adhyashakti (original energy force). She grants energy to the prakruti. Prakruti becomes powerful and energized by worshipping her. Goddess Ambika can destroy one’s worldly obstacles if prayed to with devotion.<\/strong> According to legends, it is believed that Shri Krishna married Rukmini after abducting her when she came to pray at the Amba Devi temple which is situated at the heart of the city of Amaravati, Maharashtra,.<\/p>\n

Goddess Amba is popular among the devotees from Vidarbh. Vidarbha is the eastern region of the Indian state of Maharashtra.<\/p>\n

Also shown from the same Amba temple in Gamdevi, is Shitala (Sheetala), also called Sitala (\u0936\u0940\u0924\u0932\u093e \u015b\u012btal\u0101), is a folk deity, worshiped by many faiths in regions of North India, West Bengal, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. As an incarnation of Supreme Goddess Durga, she cures poxes, sores, ghouls, pustules and diseases. There are two idols of Shitala Devi in this temple.(See images)<\/p>\n
